This is a Middle Archaic type found in the Central Missippi area centered in Arkansas and southern Missouri. It dates between 5,400 and 4,500 years ago and may be derived from the Andice type in Texas. There, the points are associated with bison hunting as the climate changed and the grassland spread into Texas. This replica is made of Phosphoria jasper from Wyoming. It is 76.5 mm long, 35 mm wide, 6.5 mm thick and weighs 16.3 grams.
