Rio Clarense points are the earliest bifacial points found in Sao Paulo State, Brazil.  They are best known from the Alice Boer site near Rio Claro, SP, Brazil.  They date between 8,000 and 7,000 years old.

  • This replica is made of a dark brown chert of unknown origin.  It was made from a flake with direct percussion shaping, finished with pressure flaking.  Made by Bruce Bradley 2018 in Uruguay.
