Rio Clarense points are found in Early Holocene sites primarily in Brazil.  They are one of the earliest bifacial points in the region dating to 8,000-7,000 years ago.  They are best known from the Alice Boer site near Rio Claro, SP, Brazil.  This replica is Cedar Mountain silicified oil shale from SW Wyoming.  It closely resembles a chert found in the Alice Boer site collection.
